Student Spotlight: Samantha Wierzba

Student Spotlight

What is your name?

Samantha Wierzba.

How old are you?

I am 15 years old.

What grade are you in?

I am in 9th grade.

How long have you been in RVA?

I’ve been in RVA for about 4 years doing different curriculum.

Where are you from?

I am from a little town called Iola.

Do you like RVA?

I love RVA because it gives me the flexibility to do stuff like work a part time job.

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class is probably French, since it’s independent I don’t have to attend it.

What class do you think is most important?

I think the most important class is math,
because you can use those skills for the rest of your life.

What are some hobbies you have?

I like to crochet and ride horses. I’m not the most talented at crocheting,
but I can make headbands and I made a baby blanket once.

Since you’ve been in RVA for awhile,
what is some advice you have for people who haven’t?

My advice for anyone in RVA is keep in touch with your teachers, as they’re willing to help you with anything you need, and to stay on pace or even get ahead if you can.

What is your favorite color?

I don’t have a favorite color. I think I have three: Pink, blue, and purple.

You mentioned you have a lot of pets, what are they?

I have three glow fish (They don’t actually glow, they’re just neon). The purple glow fish I have is my favorite, but I also have 15 mutant gold fish! (I say mutant because they are huge!)
I also have two cats, one named Sapphire and the other Gizmo.
