In their bed at night, They thrash around until it’s night.
Through the painful day, People lie and say, “You’re Okay.”
But over a week, Those words are what they seek.
They cry a desperate cry, But no one seems to hear them try.
Their feelings build up inside, Until they seem to slide.
Their usually bright, eyes don’t glisten, Because no one cares to listen.
Tears drench their face. Then starts a race.
Finally, on that day they don’t come home at night, Their family gets a fright.
