What is your name?
How old are you?
I am thirteen years old.
What grade are you in?
I am in 8th grade.
Where are you from?
I am originally from Chico, California, but now I live in Madison, Wisconsin.
How long have you been in RVA?
This is my third year in RVA.
Do you like RVA?
I love RVA. It is a perfect fit for me, as it provides a great balance between traditional school and home-school. I love the flexibility aspect, and all the teachers are supportive and very nice. I am very happy to be in RVA.
What is your favorite class?
My favorite class is Language Arts. I love writing, reading, and everything else that Language Arts has to offer.
What is your favorite instrument?
My favorite instrument is the violin, which I have played for years.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
One thing that people be surprised to know about is that I love to cook. I cook almost every day, and it’s one of my favorite hobbies. I love cooking traditional Mexican food and Italian food.
What do you see yourself doing in the future?
My ultimate life goal is to become a Pediatrician when I grow up. It’s always been my dream to do so! I have wanted to be on ever since I was four, and am going to try really hard to make that dream come true!
What are some hobbies you have?
I have quite a few hobbies. These include; cooking/baking, basketball (I am on a traveling team,) writing poetry, and hanging out with my friends. I also love drawing; partially cartoons.
Do you have any advice for people that are just starting RVA?
Based on my experience, my biggest piece of advice would be: Do not procrastinate. RVA provides a perfect balance of flexibility and school, but you can’t forget that it’s school. You still need to work as assignments come in so that way you don’t fall behind.
